SHORT but powerful

OK, I am a writer - published with WaterBrook Press, under the Random House imprint - got paid a lot of money to write my last three books - so you might think, I don't need a book about, "Do your Art.." which basically talks about bringing your best work to the world in writing or art - or whatever. But, I do. I need motivation. We all do. Last year I had breakfast with New York times best selling author, Mary Kay Andrews and she said, even she needs motivation and encouragement - "We all do, Marsha." She said. And that is why DO YOUR ART by Chad R Allen, is good. It's motivating. How much did I like it? Well I got a free copy. Told all my friends about it. Then ordered and PAID for a kindle copy. I'm not one to pay for things I can get free. But, that's how much I like it. How motivating it is. Now what do I not like about this book? IT'S TOO SHORT!! I KNOW - the subtitle says, "Manifesto..." which should have been my clue - but still when I'm sitting down to a feast of good writing - and the dinner ends after the first course - well, (I know I mixed metaphors there) - I want more. That's all I'm saying. This book is great. Good writing, great motivation. I just need more.

Dinner is defiantly on!

I have been a fan of My Virgin Kitchen on YouTube for a year now, and loved his style of cooking along with the food he was cooking. After trying many of his recipes, the announcement of the book I pre ordered straight away,
His style of cooking has been translated brilliant in the book, and the food looks delicious. Many recipes now await me to try, as I am a virgin in the kitchen, but the style of cooking is a great fit to get people to be more confident. With a egg warning system, for ease of cooking with 1 egg, or 3 eggs for difficult, it balances nicely if you are a chef or not, but with the instructions presented in a clear way, you can get up to the harder recipes very quickly.

I recommend this book for anyone, either learning to cook or wants to have 100 more recipes. The motto "Anyone can cook" is alive and shown through the author's attention to detail, but also, not having an formal training as a chef, makes it more personal, and easier to follow.

Awesome book! I love Barry's youtube channel and watch all of his videos. He is always so funny, but more than that, his recipes are actually great. Most of the time you either get someone entertaining to watch OR great recipes, but he has managed to do both. I've already tried 2 recipes out of this book (for my professional bakery & cafe) and they have been a huge hit! Can't wait to try more recipes. The photographs are beautiful and most recipes have a photo which I really like. The book has a nice flow and the recipes are easy to read and follow. I highly recommend getting this book, it will be one of the more used books in my collection.

Fantastic Cookbook with Great Recipes by a Great Guy!

I have been a fan of Barry on YouTube for a couple years now and I have always enjoyed seeing him cook and put his own twist on many different recipes. When he announced that he had a cookbook coming out I immediately pre-ordered it and boy am I glad I did. This cookbook is fantastic! I have plans to cook every recipe in the book and I am positive I will like every single one. It is great to see genuinely nice people grow and make a name for themselves by doing something they love, and Barry clearly loves what he does! You will not regret purchasing this cookbook!

Dr. Andrew Jones, DVM, grew up on a farm in rural British Columbia, Canada. The humorous, pastoral stories of James Herriot, which paint the picture of a dedicated veterinarian’s fulfilling life, inspired Jones to make this world his own reality.

Dr. Jones earned a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan and treated thousands of animals over the course of seventeen years. He is the former owner of Nelson Animal Hospital in Nelson, BC.

What a life saver!!!! This book shows you what you need to do to take care of your dog or cat. Read if before you need it!!!! Everything from dog food, vitamins, safety, alternative care such as homeopathy or herbs to fixing a bleeding paw and a great cough syrup of honey and warm water to soothe your dogs throat, CPR, fireworks noise, when to rush to the Vet and when to work at home first. A must read for all with pets, especially when vet bills are hundreds of dollars per visit.
Dr, Jones is fabulous and also has a You Tube channel with some of the ideas in this book expanded with the visual of how to do it. LOVE IT!!! A must have and be sure to read it now so you'll know what to do if something unexpected happens! Thank you for writing this book, Dr. Andrew Jones! You have helped many pet owners prolong the lives of their pets.

It is easy to read & understand & I love Andrew's knowledge ...

This book is fabulous. Just what I was looking for. It is easy to read & understand & I love Andrew's knowledge about science & natural remedies. I use only natural remedies for myself for things that come up in my life & am a vegan. Many years ago I had a horse farm. I boarded & trained saddle, show & race horses. The vet bills were too high & I was frustrated, so I started learning about natural remedies for the horses. They worked so well that when my vet called & asked why she wasn't called to treat the horses, I told her that I was using natural remedies & all problems with the horses were relieved with the remedies I used.
I would tell my boarders that when a problem with a horse arose that they had a choice. I would call a vet if they wanted to go that way, or I would go to a health food store & try a remedy. In every case the problem was solved quickly & just a fraction of the cost of vet bills.
I apply this same thing to my small pets. along with a fabulous diet, plenty of fresh air, exercise, filtered water, supplements, natural remedies, lots of quality time spent together & love.. I have very few problems come up & if they do, I treat it immediately with different modes of natural healing. My toy poodle has her own chiropractor & loves to see everyone at the chiropractors' office.
I would recommend this book to all pet owners. I believe wholeheartedly in what Andrew Jones is doing. I support him by sharing his posts on Facebook & applaud his courage in the face of a sick system. The AVA has become just as corrupt as the AMA, which does not surprise me at all. Many people are being blessed by his work & being true to his conscience. I know that God is leading him & he is listening to divine guidance as I did in using natural remedies.

Dr. Jones' book is sure to upset some people - certainly the first chapter will make this clear. While his ideas are controversial, his love for animals shines through every page. He has defend his beliefs about what is good for our pets at great personal cost.
