Joanne Fink, an award winning designer, calligrapher, and author, spent 20 years as an art director in the greeting card industry. Her studio, Lakeside Design, specializes in developing products for the gift, stationery, craft and faith-based markets. With more than a million books in print, Joanne is the author of 11 books from Fox Chapel Publishing, including Zenspirations® Coloring Book Inspirations, Flowers of Faith Coloring Book, and L'Chaim: Celebrate Life.
Regina Yoder is an inspiring women s ministry leader, homeschooling instructor, inventor, and mom of eight. She is passionate about helping women experience a deeper level of intimacy with Christ through the art of Bible journaling. Regina wrote and produced Clubhouse Kidz, a Bible memory system, and developed a patented line of creative tools for scrapbooking and Bible journaling. She teaches Bible journaling classes and leads a weekly worship service for women in her community.

MUST HAVE!

I rarely write reviews, like never, I think I reviewed one thing once like a long time ago.... I HAD to write a review for this book. It is AMAZING! I've been looking for a good art/Bible journaling book and everything I've bought so far has been a huge disappointment. Until today, I received this in the mail today and I haven't been able to put it down. I got my journal out and have all my art supplies spread all over! You really can just open this book and start creating immediately. So much helpful information and new ideas to add to your own creativity. It's a MUST HAVE!! Happy Journaling!

Summary and review of the new published book on Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink and Regina Yoder: "Complete Guide to Bible Journaling, Creative Techniques to express your Faith"
I am amazed by the caliber of talent brought together in this book. People we "know" from YouTube and from Facebook groups, artists we greatly admire for their talents and their generosity in sharing their talents and knowledge with us.
The book has 128 pages, and an additional 24 pages with more than 150 designs, 270 colored stickers, and 60 designs printed on translucent vellum.
The designs can be used "as is", or can be traced, used as Bible margin art, or as bookmarks.
The four main sections:
1. techniques
2. artist profiles
3. artist gallery for inspiration
4. bonus section with traceable and ready-to-use designs
The introduction explains to the reader what Bible Journaling is and covers the three main forms of Bible Journaling; journaling in the Bible margins, journaling "all over" the Bible (covering text and whole pages), and journaling outside of the Bible (in a sketchbook, notebook, Devotional).
The introduction also discusses ways of how to get started and has helpful hints on choosing a Bible.
The Techniques section covers techniques such as tracing, drawing, patterning.
Page preparation and making a background with ink pads is covered as is the use of stencils, watercolors, acrylic paint, washi tape, stickers, die cuts, and rubber stamps.
Samples are given for lettering and different layout techniques are explained.
The artist profile section includes: Shanna Noel, Karla Dornacher, Valerie Sjodin, Sephra Travers, Valerie Wieners-Massie, Rebecca Rios, Tai Bender, Krista Hamrick, Jennifer Rydin, Rebekah R Jones, Christina Lowery.
The gallery section covers samples of Journaling outside of the Bible, patterning, watercolor effects, colored pencil, floral design, linework, and much more.
The resource list includes web resources such as artists websites, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
